Shape

The Future Fly Happy is built on a parallel-rail outline: short, thick, and compact, a skateboard-for-waves concept. Extreme tail width is combined with thin rails to keep rail feel and wave-face connection despite the width. A thicker mid/front section adds ease through shore break and shallow water. The result is a board that feels balanced from the first bottom turn.

Tail — Half-Moon Arc

The half-moon tail maximizes rail length while retaining width and removing area behind the fins, functionally similar to running two pintails. This gives grip and hold without sacrificing the turning ease of a wide tail.

The wide tail also produces what Dany Bruch calls the lever effect minimal toe-side pressure is needed to break the tail loose and turn, despite the tail width.

Bottom Shape

A deep monoconcave runs from the nose, maxing out at the mast track, then transitions into a pronounced double concave between the footstraps, flattening into a near-flat vee at the tail.

The monoconcave locks the board to the water surface, giving control in hard, windy, or choppy conditions.

The double concave, more pronounced than on the other boards in the range, compensates for the extra tail width, helping the board turn easily while holding grip.

Rails

Sharp rails run from the tail through the back-center of the board, pulling in progressively to fully rounded rails from the front foot to the nose.

Sharp tail rails create lift and release, letting the fins do their job and enabling easy direction changes and top-turn release.

Rounded rails from the front foot forward let the board bite and hold through a gybe or bottom turn.

Rocker

Tuned for early planing, top-end speed for jumping, and control across conditions, from cruising to full-commitment bottom turns to max-height jumps. Rocker and bottom shape work together to keep the board lively under load.

Fin Setup

The Future Fly Happy comes as a Thruster. The Happy's performance window is narrow enough that other setups compromise what the thruster configuration delivers.
